1. Report accompanying your Western Astrology Birth Chart Reading:

Typically your Western Astrology Birth Chart Report will be about thirty pages long. Within the report you will receive:

A key to the Glyphs used in Western Astrology

a. Your western birth chart by Astrocalc:

b. Your Swiss Huber School of Astrology birth chart by Megastar

c. A statement of the Aspect Shapes in your western astrology Birth Chart

Chart aspect shapes are a powerful guide to our deepest psychological motivations. They identify what parts of our personality work easily together, and which parts are so different that it is hard to reconcile one with the other. In other words, they chart and define our egoic psychology.

In particular, chart aspect shapes analysis is excellent for identifying which parts of us are split off and what parts act as ‘unaspected sub-personalities’.

d. A ‘Nature versus Nurture’ analysis

This is provided with charts and Tables and assessed in astrology in terms of modalities and elements. Modalities are ways of going about things; elements are qualities of being. Chart aspect shapes in your House Chart (of Nurture) are assessed.

e. Full report on your western birth chart:

This covers Interpretation of your Ascendant Sign (Rising Sign), your planets in signs, your planets in houses and aspects between the planets in your birth chart.

2. Report accompanying your Western Astrology Prediction Reading for the 'Year Ahead':

Typically the Western Astrology Prediction Report for your Year Ahead will be about fifteen pages long. Within the report you will receive:

A key to the Glyphs used in Western Astrology

a. Your western birth chart by Astrocalc (see specimen above):b. The chart for ‘Now’ by Astrocalc

c. The chart for now with your natal chart inside it (Bi-wheel chart by Astrocalc) so that you can see how the planets in the heavens, now, are relting to the planets and Houses in your birth chart.

d. A list of your Transits in Western Astrology

A Transit is where a planet in the heavens today forms an aspect to a planet in your natal chart, or passes through a House in your natal chart, or a sign. Thus a new challenging or harmonious powerful transformative energy is brought into your life

e. Graphed transits for the year ahead in western astrology (by Astrocalc)
Vivid graphing of the Transits’ energy peaks you will experience and the key dates.

f. Progressed Chart compared to Natal Chart

A day in a life tells us something about a year in a life. So, where the planets are when you are aged nine, tells us something about what will happen in your 9th year, for example. This is because of the mathematical relationship between the Earth’s rotational period (= a day) and its orbital period (= a year). This is a robust and reliable predictive indicator. The Day-for-a-year (or Secondary) Progressed Moon takes about two-and-a-half years to go through a sign or house. The Progressed Moon is very good for predicting how our basic emotional drives will show up in the year ahead.

g. Your Swiss Huber School of Astrology birth chart by Megastar (see specimen above) showing Age Progressions:

The Huber Age Point circumnavigates the chart in 72 years, starting from the ascendant and moving counter-clockwise. It is an indicator of the energies we will pass through in our journey to potential individuation, in our egoic psychological unfoldment. The AP moves counter-clockwise from the Ascendant passing through the houses and signs as it progresses. The AP does not only pass through the signs and houses in your natal chart, it also forms aspects to the planets in your natal chart as it progresses.

There is also a ‘Nodal Age Point’ which charts the call from your soul on the astral: its call to you through dreams, subliminality, synchronicity, intuitions, impulses and visions.

The AP is shown by the black cross in a circle on the rim of your natal chart

The Nodal AP is shown by the red cross in a circle on the rim of your birth chart.

h. A Transits and Progressions Report for your Year Ahead

The meaning of each transit or progression in your life is described.

The most significant transits of are red highlighted.

The next order of significane is yellow highlighted.

You are also given the charts of the Eclipses that will occur for your year ahead and a statement of how these eclipses will relate to your birth chart and thus manifest in your life.

Here is an example (by Astrocalc) of your Graphed transits for your year ahead, showing the peak dates you will experience the energies of transformation:

Typical Report accompanying your Vedic Astrology Birth Chart Reading

Vedic Astrology reports take a lot of time to write. Typically my Vedic Astrology Birth Chart Report will be about twelve pages long. It will include the following information:

A. Preliminary Information. Vedic Astrology is fascinating and powerful. You have included in your vedic Birth Chart report some easy and accessible statement of the concepts of Vedic Astrology, as follows:

i. Zodiacs: In this report you receive an explanation of the difference between the Tropical Zodiac of western astrology and the Sidereal Zodiac of Vedic Astrology, plus a statement of the difference in what the two systems measure. the sidereal zodiac of Vedic astrology is fixed: it is anchored to a fixed star as a statement of the Eternal, whereas the tropical zodiac of western astrology is moving: it moves a degree every 72 years and its start point is that point in the heavens that the Sun occupies on the first day of Spring, and because it is solar it is ‘ego astrology’ The scope of Vedic Astrology is immensely vaster than egoic western astrology. At the present the two zodiacs are 72 degrees apart.

ii. You also receive a note on the Lunar Zodiac of Vedic Astrology: the immeasurably powerful lunar zodiac of 27 signs called ‘Nakshatras’, that depicts our realities in a magical and dream time way that is pre-solar, pre-logical and pre-linear, and is hugely accurate, powerful and meaningful. Each of them has a power animal that can be used for many purposes of understanding, including the identification of the best marriage partner for you. This system is immensely sophisticated in the techniques it uses such as Navatara, Nara chakra (health statement) and Nadi Nakshatras. Its vast and sure systems of sign rulerships and qualities throw immense meaning onto our lives.

iii. The Sidereal Symbols: Please also note that Vedic Astrology also uses a system of Sidereal Symbols: Vedic Sages have channelled the meaning of each of the 360 degrees of the Sidereal Zodiac. The roots of this system lie in ancient Babylonian Star Lore. These sidereal symbols can throw vast illumination onto the nature of any of your planets by using the symbol for the degree the planet falls in. On occasion, the illumination thrown onto the nature of the planet is of vast value and can be found from no other source.

iv. Apparent Opposites: In Vedic Astrology, when there are contradictory statements, it is not the case that this is dismissed as a contradiction, but that the two will merge like some sort of carefully crafted committee minute. Rather it is the case that BOTH statements will manifest as true in the life. This is because Vedic Astrology is part of the tantric spiritual system of The Vedas and also Hinduism which evolved from the Vedas, and the nature of tantra is to treat the two contradictory statements like two ends of the same pole and to reconcile apparent opposites in the sense of finding the truth beyond the two ends of the pole, because all phenomena, including apparent opposites are inherently connective to the divine root of all being, and thus not in a real sense opposite.

B. You then receive the following charts:

a. Your Vedic Birth Chart

b. Your Planet Positions in the Vedic birth chart:

i. Using the 12-sign Vedic (Sidereal) Zodiac:

ii. Using the 27-sign Vedic Lunar Zodiac (The Nakshatras) including identification of any Pushkara (special quality) planets you may have

c. Your Navamsha Chart (9th Harmonic):Your  Soul, past life and Marriage Issues statement

d. A Table showing the Strength or ‘Dignity’ of your Planets in your birth chart and Navamsha Chart.

e. A statement of your Planets as Karakas or indicators for aspects of your destiny, as follows:

AK = the Atmakaraka the indicator of the soul and the self (also called atma) and also our health. Our most important planet. Indicator of an unfinished project carried over from our previous life-time.

AmK =  Amatyakaraka the indicator of our advisors and counsellors, as well as an indicator of profession

BK = Bhratikaraka the indicator of siblings and one’s teacher/guru and those close to us

MK = Matrikaraka the indicator of the mother and maternal relatives, and also those who support and nourish us

PiK = Pitrikaraka the indicator of the father (and paternal relatives) and also bosses and employers and authority figures

PuK = Putrakaraka the indicator of children and also our students and followers

GK = Gnatikaraka the indicator of our rivals and enemies, as well as kinsmen and relatives

DK = Darakaraka  the indicator of the marriage partner or lover.  This is also seen for wealth and business

Ketu the South Node of the Moon does not represent ‘worldly life’: he is the karaka of enlightenment, the path of the soul towards moksha, which is the exact opposite of worldly life

C. YOUR MOON

The Moon is the principal planet in the Vedic birth chart. As such, the Moon sign in which your Moon falls is the basis of the ancient and surely declarative Vedic astrology of love and marriage. Please see the separate relationship/love report you can commission for the Vedic lunar sign in which your moon falls in your Vedic birth chart.

In this Vedic astrology birth chart report you receive:

i. a full statement of the meaning of the Nakshatra or lunar Sign your Moon falls in in your Vedic Birth Chart .

ii. a statement of the meaning of the Phase of the Moon at the moment you were Born. Vedic Astrology has an incredibly powerful astrology regarding the phase the Moon was at the moment you were born. This Moon Phase is called Tithi. If your Tithi is weak, it will undermine your birth chart decisively. If your Tithi is strong it will assist your birth chart decisively.

E. YOUR SUN

The Sun tells you about your Father and also about your egoic self, your business self. A good symbol for understanding the role of the Sun in your Vedic Chart is the charioteer. The charioteer holds in his hands the reins of the horses that pull forward the chariot of self. The horses are the other planets in your chart. If the charioteer is weak, the horses will pull in different directions and maybe even overturn the chariot!

In this Vedic astrology birth chart report you receive a full statement of the meaning of the Nakshatra or lunar Sign your Sun falls in in your Vedic Birth Chart.

F. YOUR ASCENDANT

Your Ascendant or Lagna in Vedic Astrology has crucial power in the way you will present yourself to the world in your life. Lagna is (also called Rising Sign or First House) an it is analysied in terms of both Sign and also Lunar Sign (Nakshatra), and the effect of the Lagna ruling planet. Another very important ascendant is your Arudha Lagna.

F. Your Incarnational Life Meaning in Vedic Astrology

A major contribution of Vedic Astrology is its statement of your incarnational life meaning: why you are here.

This is stated in terms of the position of the Nodes of the Moon in your Vedic natal chart. The Nodes of the Moon are the intersection points in space of the orbit of the Moon around the Earth with the apparent orbit of the Sun around the Earth. There are thus two Nodes: the North Node and the South Node.

The North Node is called Rahu; the South Node is called Ketu. The Nodes are actually anciently seen as ‘demons’, because they are the eclipse points and they even have the power to devour the luminaries: the Sun and the Moon, but – because Vedic astrology is Tantric – everything is inherently connective to the Divine: even adverse circumstances, even what could be called ‘bad’, but only if we perceive these difficult states in the right way. As we start off in life we can manifest the energies of the Nodes of the Moon in our birth chart in a negative or driven way, and our task is to purify their manifestation as our life progresses.

Anciently, the Nodes were depicted as a dragon. The Dragon’s Head is the North Node called Rahu; the Dragon’s Tail is the South Node called Ketu. What is the spiritual gift of these demons?

Rahu, The North Node

Rahu is where we in terms of life circumstances will put our obsessive, instinctual driven energy of ambition to realise our incarnational destiny. Rahu is the call of our Future. Our obsessional drive can be dark and destabilizing but the experience of it, and of purifying it, can impel us to see God, and can bring us to see that we are not cut off from God but actually one with God (and one with everyone else).

Ketu, The South Node

Ketu is where in terms of life circumstances we will find that everything will dissolve. Ketu is our past lives and our past life karmas and skills. This experience can terrify, but Ketu dissolves that which needs to die in terms of our need to be reborn and go forward to meet our spiritual destiny in this incarnation. Ketu is sometimes depicted as the ‘occupying army’, i.e. those life areas we have already ‘conquered’ in earlier lives, whereas Rahu is depicted as ‘the advancing army’, i.e. those territories we need to advance into in this life.

In Vedic Astrology, the Nodes of the Moon are interpreted in terms of the following four factors:
  1. The Houses that the Nodes fall in in your natal chart. This is the most important factor for assessing your incarnational life purpose. The Nodes are always opposite each other in the heavens, in the chart. Obviously the Houses are time of birth sensitive, so if you don’t know your correct time of birth, counting Houses from the Ascendant created by a wrong time of birth will give wrong results, though one way round this is to treat the position of the Moon as your First House (this can be nearly as good depending on certain astronomical circumstances).
  2. The Signs that the Nodes Fall in in your natal chart. Please note that Vedic Astrology does use the 12-sign zodiac familiar from western astrology, but the two zodiacs are actually 23 degrees apart. Your planets may therefore be shown as being in a different sign in Vedic Astrology from western astrology. The zodiac used by western astrology is known as the Tropical Zodiac; the zodiac used by Vedic Astrology is called the Sidereal Zodiac.
  3. Any Planets which conjunct your North or South Node
  4. The Lunar Signs (The Nakshatras) which your Nodes fall in in your natal chart. In addition to the familiar 12 signs of the Solar Zodiac, Vedic astrology also uses a far more ancient Lunar Zodiac of 27 signs, which is an immensely powerful pointer to the true nature of your magical and dream time self.
Your incarnational life purpose is thus assessed in the report in terms of the position of the Nodes of the Moon in your Vedic natal chart.

Optional Report accompanying your Vedic Astrology Prediction Reading for the Year Ahead:

Again, due to the length of time it takes to write vedic Astrology reports, this item would be extra. Typically this report will be about ten pages long. This is very powerful and accurate prediction. Vedic astrological prediction is supreme declaration.

I always combine both western and Vedic Astrology in my Predictive Readings, so here you get a superb combination:

Western astrological prediction gives essential psychological prediction and maps the forces of transformation in your coming life.

Vedic Astrological prediction proves to be a most accurate statement of both spiritual and worldly features for your predictive year ahead.

Your Vedic Astrology Prediction Report details the Sidereal Zodiac of Vedic Astrology as compared to the tropical Zodiac of Western Astrology, the wonderful and powerful Lunar Zodiac of the 27 Lunar Signs of Nakshatras of Vedic Astrology, the Sidereal Symbols and the issue of apparent oppositions. See detail on this in the section on the Vedic Birth Chart Report above.

In summary, this report covers the following powerful predictive details for your year ahead:

i. Your Vedic Predictive periods (called Dasas) including sub-periods:
Vedic Astrology uses predictive life periods called Dasas. The Dasas unfold in set pattern from the position of the Moon at the moment of our birth. They have sub-periods within the Dasas often called Bhuktis or antars.  They are a supremely powerful form of prediction but their timing is very sensitive to accurate time of birth. Each Dasa is ruled by a planet, and prediction also has to take into account the Nakshatra (Lunar Sign) that ruling planet occupies and rules.

ii. Your Vedic transits: This is where a planet in the heavens today passes through a sign in your Vedic birth chart, or when a planet in the heavens today aspects a planet in your Vedic birth chart. This is immensely powerful and accurate predictive astrology.

iii. The Varshaphal chart (the chart for the exact moment on you current birthday when the Sun returned to the position it occupied at the moment you were born).

iv. Eclipses in the year ahead in relation to your Vedic Birth Chart, and how these will affect your life.

Here are some example Vedic Astrology predictive charts for the specimen chart above:
